Happy 4th of July everyone!
So, I’ve been fielding tons of questions. Here is where we stand. There is no news. Malls and gyms are not part of Phase 4 and to be honest, I see malls opening up before gyms. Where does that leave us? It leaves us with a closed gym. To be totally honest I seriously considered just opening and defying the order. However, I consulted my insurance representative and attorneys. My insurance would be voided and I’d be assuming liability for everything, both virus and non virus related. Plus the state has pulled CO’s, and levied really steep fines as well.
So I looked at it and thought about all of you awesome members who have been loyally supporting our gym. You literally have kept our community alive and given us something to come back to. But enough is enough. I can’t continue to allow that. So I contacted TRIIB and submitted forms to turn off the credit cards. It looks like this will get prcoessed on Monday. To start, it will be for a period of exactly one month. This way, everybody who is still a current member will get a one month reprieve. If we are allowed to open in a week, we will open but the cards will not restart until 1 month from when they stopped so that it’s fair for everyone. If it goes farther than a month, I’ll keep them off for August as well.
So that’s it. I’ll continue to update via the blog and Instagram. I’ll get Facebook up and running. We’ll get the apparel orders done and I’ve already ordered new signage for the front. The wheels are still turning! The gym still exists. I have tons of programming ideas and I’m still excited for everyone to come back. It will happen eventually!
I’ll do everything I can to bring this gym back better than ever.
