SUNDAY
Today marks the 15th anniversary of the attacks of September 11th. Do you all remember where you were on this day? I remember and will always remember. I worked at a restaurant in Syosset as a server, but I also did the books two mornings a week. My two girls were age 5 and 7. I only had to be at work for a few hours to be home for them as they were both in school for just a few hours. I remember the chef coming into the office and rushing me to the bar where the TV was on with the coverage of the first World Trade Center collapsing. All I could think of was getting home. My husband, Steve, was still “on the job” at the time with NYPD. He was supposed to get one of the girls from pre school while I worked but called me and said to get home ASAP as he was headed to the City before they closed the LIE down. The rest that happened after was a nightmare. Where were you that day? Feel free to post your comments. Make an effort to come in today and do this team workout. This is not about the score you get as a team as it is a way to come together and tackle a Rememberance wod.

“The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead we have emerged stronger and more unified. We feel a renewed devotion to the principles of political, economic and religious freedom, the rule of law and respect for human life. We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom.”
